Subj : Atari Video Music System To : All From : paulie420 Date : Thu Feb 03 2022 18:24:43 So... those of you who watch the Youtubes will have noticed this product over the past couple weeks as a few popular Youtubers have done videos about it lately... The Atari Video Music System is a music visualizer from the 70s by Atari. The colors are great, and it has wonderul >8bit graphics that are ANSI-like and wonderful... theres a project, if you don't mind printing a PCB and soldering just a tad, that allows you to recreate a current electronic device that does the same thing as the original: https://ctrl-alt-rees.com/2020-11-26-pixelmusic-3000-modern-atari-video-music- clone-parallax.html But TBH, it would be so cool to own the original. The above link shows ONE builders idea of what a cool 'today version' might look like - I think I'd of made the enclosure smaller, and would like to stay true to the Atari-wooden look that I love from back then. Any of you seen this product? Own one? Is it stupid, in 2o22, to build a visualizer when ANY of our devices can do that same with way better graphics? I think it might be awesome to setup on my main television... there is nothing quite like this visualizer IMO. :P Heres a video of it running: https://www.synthtopia.com/content/2009/02/26/atari-video-music-and-modular-sy nthesizer/ I am hunting for some software version that might be ran on a Linux machine, like the Raspberry Pi... if I found something like this, I could easily add it to many screens in my house. :P |07p|15AULIE|1142|07o |08......... --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/12/24 (Raspberry Pi/32) * Origin: 2o fOr beeRS bbS>>20ForBeers.com:1337 (21:2/150) .
