Were they receiving free or discounted computers? didn't have one
already? and were complaining? Sheesh!

The "latest and greatest" effect had allowed me to buy my wife and
daughter 1-2 generation old iPhones for cheap.    :)

I'm still on Android - pick up a cheap Moto phone and put a 1TB SD card
in it, I've got all of my data backed up and in my pocket!
