oh, now I get it. I mistook it with xenix from microsoft.
Minix is Tanenbaum's (the professor behind the OS development books and academic curriculum).

Still same case, I think I need to install it one day.

I remember Tanenbaum's discussion with Torvalds on the usenet in the 90s.

could be counted in as first flame wars on the net among top stars, I can reckon at least.
