³ 8-bit Ataris. That gave me exposure to several machines. Once I got into
³ high school, I got exposed to the TRS80 (not sure the model) and
³ Burroughs 900 mainframe (for doing COBOL).

Wow, our school system didn't invest in such things as mainframes.  I wish
I had some exposure to COBOL back then, or even in college.  They were very
particular about programmers needing to be a part of the engineering
school, even though they had a Business CIS "concentration" degree.
 
With COBOL being a "business" language, you'd think they'd make the
connection.  They eventually did, a couple of years after I graduated.  I
look back and think that was probably too late by then.
