Oddly enough, I did not have an Amiga back in the day, so I don't have any specific programs I can suggest. However the reason this computer was always on my dream list was the graphic programs such as Deluxe Paint and Lightwave 3D. I still find those programs amazing now considering of the limited hardware as compared today.
It was also considered an amazing gaming computer, as compared to "IBM" pc's of the era. It was also one of the best platforms for the DemoScene.
