If you were wanting to try a virtual machine, VirtualBox would be a simple and easy solution, however I do not think this would work for you as simple virtual machines would still be based on fairly current hardware.
I would suggest trying PCemu of 86Box, as it would actually emulate the older hardware. The downloads from theirs sites do not include the bios's but they are simple enough to find.
