There's a lot of embedded equipment out there running old Oses that is just fine in environment where it's not exposed to the internet. I used to run PBXes that still ran NT 3.51 embedded in 2012. It was physically separated from the internet (even from our LAN) and did the job. Same with Octel voicemail systems running on OS/2 3.0. ....
