I do the same, runs very well!

Is there much use for ArcaOS ? It's just an off spring of OS/2 right?

As for Amiga emulation under a VM, doesn't work very good. Meaning if it looses it's screen, FS-UAE will crash. Also issues with remote mouse but can be fixed with virtual mouse if I remember.

Yes, local is much cheaper depending on the resources and space you use.
