I think I'll wait a bit longer. I hope they'll release a disk image to download.

Yes, it's acceptable. I'm using it on my PC, but I like the Raspberry OS (LXDE) desktop better. Unfortunately Gnome/GTK seems to get more fucked up with every version. And KDE is dependent on Qt.

Used that too in-between OS/2,Win95 and Ubuntu.

classic Mac OS or macOS (OS X)?

I really loved the Mac OS 8 and 9 desktop. The OS was unstable and a bit shitty (despite its image), but usability and visual design were good. I also remember when I booted the leaked i386 version of OS X on my Laptop. I did run OS X for some time on my PC.
