Visually my favourite was the the OS/2 2.x WPS. Best OS for a PC at that time. Maybe some day I try to run it a VM again. I wonder how it feels today.

Looks very retro. More practical than visually appealing (what I can tell from screenshots). I think the only short contact to a unix workstation I had was a SGI with Irix. Funny UI.
