Actually (and I wish I'd kept this somehow), one of my users back in 1987
wrote a PC terminal program to emulate Proterm Special in ANSI format, so
everyone could play columns (before someone re-wrote my code and made an ANSI
version as well).  Doesn't help much, but maybe someone could do it again?
It had z-modem support as well.
