Posting this from a Tandon PC AT clone circa 1987. One of my retro buddies
dropped it off (along with an MSX2 of his that needs a bit of repair) and
I've spent the last week getting it upgraded and into working order.

The first 'family' computer we had (other than the Tandy that my dad
bought and then returned after about two weeks) was a 286 clone that we got
around 1986, so this thing brings back some good memories. I learned how to
code on a 286, first in GWBasic, and then in QuickBASIC. (I moved onto
TurboPascal and then C when I got my own 386 during my senior year of high
school.)

I've installed a bunch of games that I remember playing on that old system.
This is like a bonus round of reliving the past, though, because that old 286
had a hercules graphics card in it and this machine has a VGA card in it.
(Oh, how I pined for an EGA card back in those days, or really any thing that
could get me closer to the screenshots in the game magazines. (Only later did
I realize that most of those were Amiga captures. :D)

Anyway, I need to get off of here and go find the Amulet of Yendor.
