Unfortunately, the bulk of OS/2 use is a lot of embedded and legacy applications that are their bread and butter. Even at the price they charge it's likely they aren't making enough money to keep a lot of people on payroll, so aren't seeing many advances. At $200 each, it takes a *LOT* of sales to cover even one six-figure developer salary. And most people aren't willing to pay anything for an OS. Main reason MS doesn't charge for upgrades anymore is the expense for supporting older versions is higher than the money they made from individual upgrade sales. -- Michael J.
