Yep I agree, this is what my brother and I used as kids. I did have the ZX81
in my room too so I was a lucky lad. My brother spent a lot of time
programming the micro as a kid. He's now working in the IT field too :)

Apple IIe were about during my high school years. The school I was at started
to add them as a computer classroom towards my final year at school. I wold
go there most lunchtimes to play games and poke at BASIC code etc.

I feel the same way about getting a Speak N Spell that works... I have one
(from my childhood) but the power supply I think failed on the board and I
have no way of knowing how to repair it... not really the skills to do so. :(
