Same here - I've got 3 within reasonable driving distance, although it's getting harder and harder to find anything good there.

Early on relatively few people went into the shops at the waste transfer station, so good items lasted longer on the shelf making them easier to come by.  Back then prices were quite low too.  These days the car parks are full, and the prices are usually around eBay levels.  

Very occasionally though there will be a gem that goes cheaply because they couldn't find one on eBay as a reference and have no idea what it is, or what it's worth.
