As I didn't start using PC's until 1.2Mb was the standard.

We never had this issue on the Amiga, as 99.9% of drive's/Disk's where
880K. Latter C= brought out a drive that could do 1.44Mb, but it was 100%
compatable with the previous 880K standard.

On of the tricks was to slow the drive down when a 1.44Mb disk was
inserted.
