Exactly the same as the II.  The other thing that was pretty common was to
install a 3 way switch, in the front, which would permanently enable write
protect on or off, or leave it in disk set setting.  I did have one drive
that ignored it completely due to mechanical failure in the arm that
activated the switch, that was always interesting..
