I had tried installing Windows 95 on my 386DX-40 and used it for a couple weeks or so, but I felt like it was too slow on the 386 and went back to DOS and Windows 3.1.  I didn't install Windows 95 again until I upgraded to a 486 (I went to an AMD "5x86" 133mhz, which was their fastest 486, if I recall.
