I saw 3 concerts in the UK before moving to the US. We were at a Metal Shop (hair band/arena rock cover band) show and they did a Poison song. My wife they might be cool to see. 10 minutes later I had Poison tickets, supported by Cheap Trick. It sort of went from there. Since then I've traveled to Portland, OR, Northampton, MA and St Louis, MO to see Steve Hackett, Charlotte, NC to seee Genesis, Mark Knopfler in both Dallas and Phoenix, Pet Shop Boys and New Order in Seattle, WA, Jean Michel Jarre in New York, Houston, Dallas, and San Jose, A-ha in Los Angeles. Also in Dallas have seen OMD, Joe Jackson, Colin Hay, The Monkees, Erasure, Howard Jones supported by Men Without Hats and opened by All Hail the Silence - great synth group. I'm sure there's some more that I've forgotten about. And before people think I'm rich, being able to fly off all over the country to see these bands, I have a Southwest Airlines credit card - everything I buy goes on the card that gets paid off at the end of the month. Usually costs about $20 for the 2 of us, round trip. .
