I hear ya! For me, it was Michael Jackson's Thriller. Don't judge me, the
early 80s were a confusing time to be a teenager!  :) My family couldn't
afford an actual Walkman, but scraped together the money to get me a
knock-off from Montgomery Wards for my birthday. It would play cassettes a
little bit slower than other normal casette players would, but I didn't
care, it was music that I could take with me wherever I went!

Until the batteries wore down.  :(
