Dave Grohl did a documentary about Sound City, a crappy recording
studio in Culver City, CA with an incredible mixing board and storied
history that included Rick Springfield, Stevie Nicks, FEAR, Tom Petty,
Queens of the Stone Age, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage against the
Machine, and Nirvana.

When the studio closed down, he bought the mixing board and invited
some of the alumni to jam on a record.

One of the tracks is called "The Man that never Was", and it's Rick
Springfield on lead with most of Foo Fighters backing him.

It's a great CD.
