I have every version since D1, but the graphics are awesome (PC/XBOX/PS) .. 
The gaming is fun. They decided to make it more like Elder Scrolls Online more or less. This is where you do your own thing, but able to come across other gamers whenever, and sometimes you may need them to complete a certain task/event/scene. 
I've also been playing Forespoken as well (PS).

So, I'm a little bias'd, but I would say, YES - worth it. I ALMOST didn't get it, but glad I did.
If you have something like GAMEFLY - you can try it then keep it, etc.
