Yes, I'm using SynchroNet (SBBS) now as I've been told numerous times in FidoNet areas that Mystic doesn't play well with encodings. If you are searching for a prime example of a message reader from the old days, have a look at OpenXP, one of the open source forks of CrossPoint. While XP has primarily been a point software for Zerberus/Z-Netz, it also became the number one point software for FidoNet, at least in Germany in the 90s. I still think its usability and features are great - especially when it comes to cross-reference messages. Eg. if you reply to an echomail via NetMail, it keeps track of that and you can see the thread tree span across the echo and the NetMail messages. I've set up a new instance of OpenXP and connected it to my SynchroNet BBS, so I'm my own point and boss node now :) Regards, Anna --- OpenXP 5.0.46 * Origin: Imzadi Box Point (21:3/127.1) .
