I haven't used golded with SBBS in a long time. I forget if you can read the mail database with golded.

SBBS supports *.msg so you can write messages and SBBSecho will send them. Drop them in /sbbs/fido/netmail or whereever your netmail directory is.

I suspect what you are seeing is <CTRL>A codes. Golded doesn't understand those or ansi.

You can set the hub to strip them out. That will stop them but you also loose that support on the BBS.
