 I'm an ESXi/vCenter guy at work, giving Proxmox a try. I'm pretty
 excited about it, but might want to switch to ESXi at some point.

 ESXi is very picky about hardware, whereas Proxmox seems to run on
 anything Intel/AMD that can run Debian.

 Pretty sure it's free for home/personal use for as long as I've
 known. Whether that'll change in the future is anyone's guess.
