Subj : Hub 3 was down for a bit... To : All From : deon Date : Fri Nov 27 2020 23:20:37 Howdy, Isnt it always the case. I left home today at 3pm to pick up my daughter and head off to see my Dad - I 3hr journey. After catching up with him (havent seen him since Jan due to COVID), I thought I'd login to the BBS and see what's going on. It was dead. According to the logs the Pi died at 2:58pm! But all is back now (I'm hoping) and things should flow again. I'll check tomorrow morning for any reporting anything amiss! Some folks have asked me why do I run ESXi on the Pi? This is why. I'm 300 klm away and not home until Sunday. With ESXi, I could connected to the web console, see that the drive had failed disappeared, reboot it (fingers crossed it re-appeared and it did), check/repair it, and then start the BBS VM... Its been running a month or two under ESXi, so its pretty solid - hoping my USB drive isnt failing - fingers crossed... ;) ....лоеп .... Not tonight honey, ...I feel a modem coming on. --- SBBSecho 3.11-Linux * Origin: I'm playing with ANSI+videotex - wanna play too? (21:2/116) .
