Yes, or source a file that contains your needed environment. Here's a script I use to start binkd and sbbs from cron, it sources /etc/profile but
/etc/bash_profile may work better for you, or ~/.bash_profile.

#
# Script to start binkd and sbbs at boot time.
#
.. /etc/profile
/usr/local/sbin/binkd -DC /usr/local/etc/binkd.conf
cd /sbbs
exec/sbbs
