Alpha, another user here, just told me about Syncterm as a web service. Might be worth a look, although its not a native app:

And thats the best stuff to do things on. Whats in front of you. I've misplaced a couple iPhone 4's that I have. Ticking me off, because theres a persistent jailbreak and I can do a few things with it. Theres a new service called... Beeper that allows iMessaging on devices other than iPhones. (I know, I'd be using an iPhone 4... but any Android/etc would work.)

It's still pretty new, from the guys who did the Pebble smart watch years ago. They are still onboarding every user by handle/personally, so signup might take a bit - for any one who might be interested that project is @
