if it's just ./mis poll    then that's not enough.

the fact that this line ran OK makes me wonder if you had not specified a
node to poll?

I usually set up events to poll a HUB from Agency BBS and just put the HUB
address in the line e.g. ./mis poll 21:1/100

I tend to stay clear of the 'forced' switch as I like the idea of more
granular control over which echomail node(s) I want to poll and when.

Using 'forced' will force a poll to all echomail nodes regardless of if there
is mail at your end to send etc. or not.
