Couple of ideas here; First make sure your not running a firewall (I think
raspberry Pi uses iptables.

Also, and I'm thinking this may be it, The Raspberian operating system has a
SSH server set up for remote access which may be using the same port as your
BBS. I'm sorry I don't have access to my Pi at the moment to give you more
specifics, but I think in the raspberry pi configuration you have to turn
that off or change the port.
