Thats the problem I've been having. After a bit of trial and error it seems
to me that I have to be logged into the BBS and in the chat room when I start
the chat client in order for it to work. Seems very strange! I've been trying
to see if I could figure out a way to make the chat client connect when the
user goes into the chat roon.

Yep started my first BBS there back in 1991. My folks still live down there.
I'm in Verbena now about 90 minutes north.
