I believe I changed my Dovenet > echotag to be SYNC_DAT or something, so the two wouldn't be the same. DOVE-Net on Synchronet is usually via QWKnet, which means no echo-tag/area-tag is applicable (QWK uses conference *numbers* not names). And Synchronet will refuse to gate between network-types (e.g. FTN->QWK or QWK->FTN) unless explicitly enabled by the sysop. > Now that I think of it, it may be every Synchronet related echo that is a > part of both networks. It should just be different than the echotag for > Fidonet. Maybe you're conflating internal-codes with area-tags? Even if the sysop accidentally use the same internal-code for multiple sub-boards, he'd have to explicitly enable gating between net-types. digital man Sling Blade quote #2: Karl (re: killing Doyle): I hit him two good whacks in the head with it.
