On first install (Windows) and first login, arriving at the message menu the
user is not linked to an active conference or area. Suggest set a start up
default for this. I went to J (select conference) then once done saw I was
linked to local / general discussion.

For message search, add a setting in config to set default search options
e.g. A for all confs, and S for subject. I also question if you need to split
out search across body and subject or just merge those two options into one.
