Subj : Login process customization To : All From : apam Date : Thu Nov 12 2020 22:37:24 Hey Alpha was asking about customizing the login process, there's a few ways I could do this I think but wanted to get others thoughts on it.. 1. make the login a script (like magicka) .. i'm not super keen on this as I think a big complex script can be a little daunting.. 2. have a login hook that runs an optional script, so those who want to add steps can write a script... a bit like WWIV does things with LOGIN_CMD 3. Have a login config toml where you list login modules in the order you want them, a little like a menu, but each item gets called sequentially rather than by a hotkey. I'm leaning towards 3.. you could add a script item where you want it in the list, (or more than one).. you could leave things out you don't want etc, I think it would be less intimidating than a big script that does it all.
