Subj : Pass username to native program

Subject says it.

I quit beating my head against the wall trying to make TelnetDoor work. 
Ubuntu's native rlogin/ssh didn't work either so I installed syncterm and can
call it from a native command line.

The only paramater I need to pass is the username... is it as simple as
${USERNAME}?
