It just takes time, alot of repetition, a bit of talent and maybe some tutorials (or a teacher). but most artforms takes time and disciplin to master. And you might see your own work completely different compared to how someone else sees it. Ad> And I still have a ways to go on the skill aspect, too. Thats ok. As said, if there is some talent, it just takes time an repetition to get better at something. Many people don't even take the first step and start learning an art skill. Ad> But, yeah, I thought I executed this one fairly well, and that height made Ad> it take a while to get it done. Ad> My artistic skill and talent are unlikely to reach Luisa's level in Ad> general, though, and that's perfectly reasonable. well, you never know. Its maybe better not to compare yourself to much with someone else, but try to find your own style. Ad> For what it's worth, people could write in for remote vote keys, ahead of Ad> the party. I did so, but I did it because I wanted to be able to submit Ad> something. Oh really! i wish i knew. i went to their voting page during the live stream and saw that you need to have a key that you had to obtain at the party in person. Mi>> i think as small of a scene as demoscene and bbs scene are, it can't hurt Mi>> to push and help each other out where we can. Ad> Yeah, absolutely. These are definitely subcultures. The most famous Ad> demosceners are not remotely famous once they leave a demo party, and as Ad> interesting as the hobbies are, there's nothing about them, at this point, Ad> that's profitable. Yep, there is not really any money to be made in the context of our scenes :) No big partnerships for Ads or something =) Ad> Honestly, it's amazing how much work people put into these things, whether Ad> it's in the time and effort in creating stuff, or all the orga work. Exactly! Thats really remarkable! Ad> Regardless, hopefully your good intentions lead to something _eventually_. i always had fun making music digitally, with a DAW but never released anything. But i have not made anything new in years. Thatswhy i try to get used to making SID music, but i am used to work "visually". I'm also a visual learner. Seeing the waveforms and using the mouse and a midi keyboard. But programs like goattracker or cheesecutter are completely non "visual" in the way they work. Quite abstract. Just alot of numbers and letters, even in the instrument editor etc. So you can't just use those trackers intuitively. Almost always a Text based User Interface (TUI). It is a bit complicated but i'm sure i can learn that and get it into my head. at least i gonna try. =) Mindsurfer --- SBBSecho 3.28-Linux * Origin: FuNToPiA BBS - telnet://funtopia.synchro.net:3023 (21:3/119) .
