I suppose it might be. But I've had too many issues in the past coming back from power saving mode or even a screen saver where any of my other programs that were running were either stopped or paused. > I've seen Windows 11 be inconsistent about it though. So, sometimes I still turn off the monitor via the switch > anyway. I wouldn't know about Win11. It was inconsistent for me back on WinXP (or maybe even earlier), so one of the first things I do on a new install is disable any screen savers and/or power saving modes and turn off my monitor when I walk away. That way, everything keeps running as it normally should. Now, the only thing that hinders my plans is how Windows just shuts everything down on it's own for an update without much notice. I'm sure you can turn that off, but I choose not to. Otherwise I'd probably forget to updates and fall too far behind. I don't have any servers or anything running on Windows these days. Then, there's Linux.. where it never reboots unless I tell it to! Still, though.. no matter what, I turn off my monitor manually when I'm not using it. ;) Regards, Nick ....
