I haven't updated my MTCP for a while but I remember UTF was a benefit and a pain at the same time for a while. For telnet specifically there is telnetnu.exe build as an independent fork that helps to keep non unicode compatibility, especially important in BBS world.

that's my default telnet client for  a while. and it also fixed PGUP/DOWN issue among many other that Brutman never cared about.

Funny I onced emailed him if he intents to bring ssh client to his bundle and he mentioned that PCs he's targeting are not capable of it..

Damn AMIGA has this capability and he's pushing unicode to what... connect modern machines from legacy 286? for what reason...

so long story short. I respect some sort of networking stnadard he introduced to my MSDOS box initially but I don't believe many of his decisions are truly something that this community really needs anymore.

A fork is what I like more for years.
