 I like the ASCII mode idea - I had a caller call with a dumb terminal
 and started playing with it in Synchronet. Memory fades, but I think
 there's a tool to convert ANSI to ASCII, so I made ASCII version of my
 menus. If you call with an ASCII terminal, it automatically displays an
 .ASC menu file.

 You miss out on the ANSI art, but it's relatively easy to set up.
