Well, I'm mostly in the, "no real need to get fries, but I'll eat some if they're around" camp. And I grew up with my dad, for whom fries were ketchup-delivery vehicles. He was also a fan of ketchup on eggs. But I'd use mayo if no ketchup was available. Though maybe just not eat the fries.
