It has started trying to show me a lot more political videos and/or news
videos about politics recently.  Back during the previous election cycle,
I did some experimenting and proved that it does so regardless of viewing
history.

As you noted, I could log on and watch nothing but videos about cars,
computers, and from channels I was subscribed to.  The next time I would
log on or open the ap, at least 7 of the first 10 videos suggested would
have something to do with US politics.  

Something else I have noticed this time -- I took a vacation where I
drove out to California along old US 66 in September and then spent 3
days in the LA area.  Since then, I have been seeing political ads
off-and-on that are not for my area and, for a while, I was getting a lot
of ads in Spanish.
