I missed this bit in the last spiel.

We've had a couple of local councils allow these things to be "trialled".
Bikes here tend to be losers.  They disappear, congregate in weird out of the
way locations and get near no serious use.

Scooters on the other hand, have been involved in a number of single vehicle
fatalities.  They're not even having to hit another car to kill themselves.
There are considerations going on about requiring a license to use one.
