Roads are subsidized.  They are profitable for the leeches off the gov't, but
for no one else.

If you don't understand why trains need to be profitable, you need to re-take
Economics 101.

To handle the traffic in those areas.  Duh!  That doesn't mean that what they
build there will work anywhere else.

Also, those train lines are subsidized by the taxpayers.
