Nuclear in the traditional power plant sense is hiddeously expensive, and
still has a monstrous carbon component to build.  There appears to be some
hope for small modular reactors as you could simply place one where you need
extra power. Its biggest problem is people are scared of it, and nobody wants
to live near it. In spite of it being one of the lowest deaths/kWh modes of
generation.
