My main workstation dates from the begining of the Windows 7 era and runs an
Operating System with ATROCIOUS I/O.

My mother got a new generation laptop with more RAM than some of my production
servers for her job. It ran blazing bast the first day. The second day she
installed all the software for working and now the thing is about as responsive
as mine.
