Although there are new generations of creative people, but tech and tools advanced so far, that it doesn't require so much cunning, guts and talent to develop top quality. It's easy to become artist today, comparing to even 20 years ago... and all so called art or craft or whatever... in the age of consumerism... it's just trash commodity that just flies and goes.
