To UG's point, it would be a nice challenge to make a home network run on a Pi - run a BBS, some home apps, maybe do some streaming, run a small web site... the only thing that bugs me about pis was not being able to use SATA for booting/storage. I hear that's resolved and I've seen some interesting pi cases that hold an nvme. Some people are even running Docker and ESXi on Pis... ....
