Chuckle, chickens are quite stupid.  They will eat moldy food, but it doesn't
do them much good... they tend to end up a bit blurty after it.  At the same
time they will also quite happily eat plants that are poisonous to them. Off
hand I don't have any examples, must be going on 30 years since I last had a
real backyard full.

Used to keep a bit of "square fencing mesh" folded in half and if you had
anything much that was leafy... spinach leaves, weeds from the garden or
anything similar, you could fill it up, they'd work their way through it, and
not spread at much around and make a mess of it.
