Be lucky to get 2-3 frosts in a winter here. Still warm food will probably keep them laying a bit longer into the year. As much as we used layers pellets, mostly for convenience for warm mash, any high carb warm food ought to work well. The warm food obviously warms them physically, but the extra carbs will help them stay warm, they'll be burning more in the cold.
