That _does_ sound pretty neat.

And, to be fair, I'm biased in being in favor of getting rid of as many of those jobs as possible.

But I literally work in automation.

Hopefully your McMuffin ladies do okay, though.

Yeah. Do always need to have a different set of solutions for a different set of problems.

But if 90% of your customers are checking out a handful of items, self-check seems like it _should_ be more efficient.

But, as you say, if I'm buying a ton of things, I know better than to do it at the self-checkout counter.

Still, I like self-checkout stuff in general. If I have a dream job of some sort, it'd be in working with library self-checkout machines. But I have a history with those, too, where I customized ones at the library I worked at, making them an entertaining feature of the library.
